ZONDRA SHANNON

Zondra Shannon’s roots run deep in the heart of Kentucky, with origins in Appalachia and the Bluegrass. Having been raised outside of Louisville, Ky, along with her family ties in Owsley and Mercer County give her a unique understanding of multiple regions of our State, and the essence of true Kentucky hospitality. In 1993 she left the Ohio Valley, where she’d studied and worked in accounting, and moved to Madison County to assist with a family business and begin a family of her own. Zondra traded the business world for one in Education after the birth of identical twin boys, and graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelors in Education. She worked with the Madison County Board of Education until the birth of her third son and has since obtained her Master’s Degree in Education and her Real Estate license.

Zondra’s interest in real estate was birthed in her teen years when she was entrusted with finding a home for the family. Since her Mother was teaching full-time and opening a new business , there was no time for her to research or shop for a home. Zondra fell in love with the Open House concept and attended many in her “search for the perfect” house.  All those weeks of searching and the curiosity that was raised at the thought of a teenager house shopping paid off. The hunt was over and with the help of a local agent, the perfect home was purchased. Mother was thrilled, and a desire to help others experience that same thrill in finding the perfect home was ignited.
